What Famulor is
Famulor is an AI voice agent platform where the phone is the anchor and messaging is part of the same product. The homepage calls it "the AI voice agent platform from Germany" that "answers calls, runs outbound campaigns and follows up over WhatsApp, email and SMS. GDPR-ready, no code." The company behind it is Famulor BEK Service GmbH in Kempten (Allgäu), Germany, with BEK Service Ltd in London and Famulor AI L.L.C in Dubai listed in the footer. It suits small businesses and operations teams that want customer calls and messages handled by one agent, and agencies that want to resell that agent under their own brand. Industry pages cover healthcare, home services, real estate, insurance, legal intake, e-commerce, recruiting, hospitality, waste and recycling, SaaS, automotive, logistics and education.
What you build and how
The builder. The FAQ explains the core idea: "You design the conversation in the visual flow builder, no code, and point a phone number at it." Setup runs in 4 steps on the homepage: build the agent (flow builder, 10,000+ voices, 60 languages), add your knowledge (PDFs, your website and a calendar), connect a phone number in one of 23 countries or your own SIP trunk, then pass a test call and switch it on. The knowledge base combines documents with a website crawl that re-syncs automatically, and a memory feature lets agents remember callers next time. An AI prompt editor, mid-call tools, DTMF keypad handling, IVR navigation and filler audio appear in the feature menu.
Milian. Famulor also builds agents with you. Milian is described as "Workspace AI that writes flows, prompts and guardrails", with the line "Describe the job. Milian drafts the agent." A Milian Subagent handles research and diagnosis, and you review and publish.
Phone agents. Point a number at the agent "and every call gets picked up". It replies from your knowledge base, books appointments and collects the details you define. For outbound, "Load a lead list and the campaign engine dials in parallel inside the calling windows you set, retries after voicemail and keeps going until the goal is reached." It detects answering machines, drops a voicemail, and makes a warm or cold transfer to a human when needed. Recording starts only after the caller agrees, do-not-call lists are enforced, and personal data is redacted from transcripts as they are written. Live monitoring lets a supervisor listen in, whisper to the agent or take over.
Voices and languages. You choose from over 10,000 voices across Cartesia, ElevenLabs and OpenAI, or clone your own; the menu says a voice can be cloned in 30 seconds. Agents speak 60 languages and switch language mid-call.
Messaging, email and the web widget. This is where Famulor sits beside chatbot builders. WhatsApp runs on Meta's Cloud API, with free-form replies, approved templates, a business profile and WhatsApp voice calls. Telegram, Slack, Facebook Messenger, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat and X are listed as "real provider integrations", Discord works through its interactions API, and outbound SMS covers follow-ups and reminders. Email is "a full AI channel here, not a notification": the agent keeps threads, drafts and sends replies, and steps aside when a human takes over. A website widget lets visitors talk to the voice agent or type, using the same knowledge base, with an origin allowlist so it loads only on your domains. The channel strip also lists Freshdesk, Gmail, Outlook, Zendesk, ServiceNow, Intercom, Zoho Mail and Instagram among others.
Booking, CRM and automations. The agent books into Famulor's native scheduler, Cal.com, Calendly or eTermin, generating a Google Meet or Microsoft Teams link, and reads busy times from Google Calendar, Outlook, CalDAV and ICS feeds. Contacts are pulled from 9 CRMs: HubSpot, HighLevel, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Close, Zoho, Attio, Keap and Twenty. Writing back runs as an automation, so you choose which fields get touched, and the native workflow engine offers 93 triggers and actions across 22 connected services. The integration menu claims 1000+ apps.
Testing and quality. Simulations let you script caller personas and success criteria: "An LLM plays the customer; another judges the transcript." After live calls, post-call analysis reports sentiment, goal success and the fields you asked for, and scorecards rate one call or a whole cohort, for example to compare 2 prompt versions. The homepage lists 12 dashboard chart types and 720 days of default retention.
Developers and resellers. The REST API has 122 documented endpoints with an OpenAPI spec and webhooks for call events. An MCP server exposes 203 tools over OAuth, so assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT can connect to a workspace, and the menu also lists a Famulor CLI and BYOC. White-label lets agencies resell under their own brand, domain and pricing, with Stripe Connect for billing. There are iOS and Android apps, a partner program, an affiliate program and a startup program described as "One year sponsored".
Pricing, hosting and proof
The company's Parloa comparison article describes usage-based pricing charged only for connected calls, with volume discounts down to $0.05/min on Scale plans, and number rental at €3.99 per month. Another article lists Famulor "from $0.05" per minute as an all-in-one platform covering voice, chat and WhatsApp, with white-label marked "Native". The homepage says "No credit card" next to its signup, the articles invite readers to build a first agent "in minutes for free", and an ROI calculator on the site recommends plans such as Agency. Large teams can request an enterprise quote.
On data, the FAQ says: "The database runs in eu-central-1." You choose the AI region for media and agent processing per workspace, Global, EU Only or US Only, transcripts are PII-redacted on write and retention is configurable. The site describes EU-hosted infrastructure as GDPR-ready and links a DPA and a Trust Center for security, privacy and sub-processors. A free demo call reaches you after an SMS verification code and ends automatically after 5 minutes.
The homepage counter reads "2000+ Happy Customers", "99% Satisfaction Rate" and "15M+ Calls Handled", and shows ratings of 4.5 out of 5 from 35 reviews on OMR Reviews, 4.8 and Trustpilot 4.0. Testimonials include Markus, managing director at Busmacher GmbH: "Famulor ist für uns ideal in Support und Vertrieb" (Famulor is ideal for us in support and sales).
Who it suits and who it does not
Famulor suits a business that wants phone, WhatsApp, email and web chat handled by one no-code agent, especially clinics, home services, real estate, insurance and law firm intake, and a European company that needs its database in the EU. Agencies get a full white-label and Stripe Connect route. Developers get a large API and MCP surface.
The breadth is also the caveat. With flow builder, Milian, automations, simulations and scorecards, there is a lot to learn before a complex agent is tuned, and the per-minute price depends on volume, telephony and the language model chosen, so a buyer should model costs on the pricing page and the ROI calculator rather than on the headline $0.05.
