What Zenkit is
Zenkit is a collaboration and project management workspace that the company calls "The All-in-One Solution for Successful Collaboration", covering project management, processes, communication, scheduling, documents and knowledge sharing on one platform. It also works as a no-code database builder and, through its Zenforms product, a form and survey tool. The reader it speaks to is a team lead or small business owner who wants one tool people can use without training, and a European or privacy-conscious organization that cares where data is stored. The site's footer credits it as a venture of Axonic GmbH, and the company says it runs fully GDPR compliant on Europe (Germany) based servers.
Zenkit is a family of products rather than one app. The product menu lists Projects for multi-project management, Base as a digital transformation platform, Zenforms for forms and surveys, Hypernotes for knowledge management, To Do as a super-simple task management app, and Zenchat, described as "Chat + Tasks = Magic".
What you build and how
Projects and views. The homepage shows the same work in Kanban, Dashboard, Chat, Folder, Table, Gantt, Files and Mindmap views. The company says you can "change the workflow to fit your needs, add details, yet keep it simple so that everyone on your team can use it without training", and that it is adaptable for Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, Lean or your own methodology. Its getting-started steps begin with workflow setup, "Start simple, add more on the go." The site also offers 2 interface options over the same tasks: one for a basic user without project management experience, and one for a power user with it. A quoted user, Arthur Casals of the University of Sao Paulo, says: "Finally, I have a tool that anyone in my team can use!"
Databases. The database claim is spelled out on the company's blog. It defines a database builder as "software that lets you create web-based applications that store and organize information," and says that Zenkit can be used as one, "albeit a simple one." You build a relational database by using reference fields to link 2 tables, which Zenkit calls Collections. The blog's argument is that this suits custom internal tools such as organizing inventory, managing finances or tracking a sales funnel without paying a programmer, and it suggests Zapier for connecting to other software when a database tool falls short. That is an honest scope: a way to build lightweight internal tools on structured data, not a platform for public-facing apps.
Forms. Zenforms is the form and survey product. Zenkit's own comparison page against Cognito Forms describes it as combining data management and database-building tools on one platform, using existing data to build a survey, and being GDPR and data privacy compliant. It lists what Zenforms adds in Zenkit's view: task and project management with kanban, list and Gantt views, Zapier automation, wikis and documentation, group chats and direct messages, more than 10 languages, a free initial consultation in German, a German server location only, a focus on German data protection and English and German customer service by email and chat. The page notes that its comparison data was taken from other companies' sites and marketing materials as of June 2022, and the comparison is written by Zenkit, so read it as a vendor's view.
Resource management. Zenkit's resource management is described as "full control over project workload." You can filter workload by tasks, project or assignee, identify resource needs in real time, make project timelines, schedule tasks and prioritize which team members and resources are needed where. The page frames it as a way to see whether someone's workload is too high or too low.
Reporting. The company says you get over 100 ready-made reports in a real-time dashboard that you can customize to see reports by project, team, members or any other combination. It says there is no need to download documents to get insights.
Migration and integrations. Work moves in through native imports from Trello, Asana or Microsoft To Do, through CSV imports, or through the API, and the company says it can be migrated in minutes. For outbound connections, Zenkit advertises 1500+ Zapier integrations, "in just a few clicks." Zenkit Suite adds native add-ons so a workspace stays free of clutter and features can be added at a team's own pace.
Communication and knowledge. Zenchat lets you discuss tasks, projects or data from the other Zenkit products and open a chat directly. Hypernotes handles knowledge management.
The evidence from the pages
Pricing. The pages state no plan names or prices. What the homepage states is the call to action: "Get started for free!" along with a Book a demo option. Neither page describes limits on a free tier, so this entry does not claim a free plan or give any limit.
Security and location. The homepage says "Fully GDPR compliant with Europe (Germany) based servers." The Zenforms page repeats a German server location and a focus on German data protection. No other compliance standard is named on these pages.
Languages. The platform is "fully translated in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and 6 more", and the language switcher lists Deutsch, English, Francais, Espanol, Italiano, Portugues, Korean, Russian, Traditional Chinese and Japanese.
Support. The company says its EU-based dedicated support is available 24/7, comes with a dedicated project management expert, and resolves every request within 24 hours. A live demo call with a project management expert is also offered.
Customers. The homepage quotes users: Ralf Weller, Head of IT at HTW Berlin; Franz Sipl, owner of 50 Sipl Bakery branches across Germany, who says Zenkit streamlines communication between headquarters and stores; Roland Scheld, Department Head at AWO Giessen; and Andreas Tecklenburg, CEO and Chief Medical Director at Marienhaus Deutschland, who calls it a real-time collaboration platform for staying on top of medical resources. These are testimonials the company chose to publish.
Who it suits and who it does not
Zenkit suits small and mid-size teams in Europe that want projects, tasks, chat, forms and light databases in a single workspace, especially where German-hosted data and GDPR compliance matter. The range of views and the stated flexibility across Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall and Lean help a team that has not settled on a method. The import paths from Trello, Asana and Microsoft To Do lower the cost of switching, and the 24-hour support promise is a concrete commitment to check during a trial.
It is a weaker choice for someone who needs a polished public app, a customer portal or a store, since the database features are described as simple and aimed at internal tools. The pages give no plan names, prices or usage limits, so budgeting requires a look at the pricing page or a demo. The Cognito comparison is dated June 2022 and written by the vendor. And a team that depends on a long list of native, non-Zapier connectors should confirm each one, because the pages name Zapier as the integration route.
