Memberstack

Memberstack drops into an existing site through a script tag and data attributes marking which elements are gated, login forms, signup flows, and members-only sections, so a designer’s Webflow build stays exactly as designed while gaining real authentication and payment logic behind it. Stripe handles the billing directly, subscriptions, one-time payments, free trials, without building custom checkout logic from scratch.
Pricing follows a “free until launch” model where building and testing costs nothing, then a monthly fee kicks in based on active member count once the site goes live, which keeps early development costs low. Since Memberstack is a layer on top of a site you already built elsewhere, there’s minimal lock-in on the site’s design itself, though member accounts and gating rules would need reconfiguring if you switched to a different membership tool. The ceiling is that Memberstack only handles auth and payments, it isn’t a page builder, dashboard, or CMS, so anything beyond gating content and managing subscriptions needs the underlying site platform or another tool. It fits designers and creators who’ve already built a site in Webflow or similar and just need to add logins and a paywall without a full portal platform.
