Softbook is a platform for running an online school without developers or designers. It targets online schools, creators such as coaches, trainers and psychologists, businesses that train employees, and companies that teach customers to use their product. The company's pitch is that landing pages, email campaigns, chatbots, community and CRM are built into the platform, so a school needs no separate services for them. Its site is offered in English, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Ukrainian.
What you build and how
The core is a lesson and course editor. The company calls it a course builder where a lesson "comes together from blocks, with no code": video, text, tests, assignments and certificates, on unlimited courses. You add elements in any order and move them with the mouse, and a long lesson splits into steps so the student has an easier path through it. You set up the structure of modules and lessons your own way, and you can bring existing material or start from scratch.
A lesson can hold video you upload or embed from YouTube and Vimeo, audio, formatted text and images, and files such as pdf, doc, xls and slides with page-by-page viewing. It can also hold link buttons and custom HTML. Tests offer eight question types, six of them interactive: the student builds a sentence, assembles a word from letters, matches pairs or sorts items into groups.
Grading is designed for large cohorts. You can turn on timed auto-accept, so work is accepted automatically after a set time without a grading staff. Where a real review matters, the teacher replies in text or with a voice message. You can also switch on "Require a review" for a lesson or course so a student leaves a review before moving on.
Certificates are built in the same editor, with your background, school logo, text and elements aligned on a grid. The student receives the certificate automatically on finishing the course and can download it. Courses can run on schedules, and the page says different groups can follow different schedules on the same course.
An AI helper covers the blank page: from a topic, an outcome, a length and an audience, it prepares a course structure and rough drafts of the lessons, which you then shape in the regular editor. The company says AI is included in your plan with no separate subscriptions to AI services.
Beyond the course, the home page covers the school around it. Landing pages and a page builder handle the storefront. Email sequences and automated messages in messengers go out from the platform. Webinars and community sit next to the courses. A CRM and sales tools track buyers, and "end-to-end analytics" show the path from click to payment, so you see which channel and which course bring money. The site also lists automations, an API for developers, and an integration with Telegram in its menu. Payments connect in the admin dashboard in a few minutes, and that is the only outside service the company says you must connect.
Students learn in the browser or in the iOS and Android app. The company says the app is part of the platform, that students take courses and tests and submit assignments in it, and that you and your team can check sales, grant access and review work from a phone, with changes showing up in the browser right away.
The evidence from the pages
The trial is 30 days with full access to every feature on the platform, including course creation, marketing, sales, CRM and analytics, with no card needed to sign up. The company says students are unlimited on every plan: "You pay for what the platform does, not for your audience growing." Unlimited courses are also stated on the course creation page, and 24/7 Customer Care is listed on every plan. The pages do not print the monthly price of any plan, and a blog post only says the subscription cost is fixed, so check the pricing page.
Payment providers are listed by country. For Ukraine the site names LiqPay, WayForPay, Monobank, Portmone and Hutko. For Poland it names Przelewy24. Internationally it names Stripe and PayPal.
On scale, the home page says Softbook is trusted by creators and online schools in 57 countries, with 10,000+ schools, 1M+ students and $50M+ earned by schools on the platform. Customer stories on the page come from founders, among them Mike Pritula of Mike Pritula Academy, who says the school chose Softbook for "video uploads, clear pricing with no surprises, and support that actually listens and acts." Another founder says the team moved all of their lessons over by hand.
That migration service is a stated feature. The company says its team will move your courses, students and school settings, including design, logo and domain, if you write to Customer Care. Customer Care runs through Telegram, Viber, Messenger and email, and the company describes it as "quick, to-the-point answers, around the clock" from real people in your language. A full help center with step-by-step guides sits at support.softbook.app.
The menu also names two other products, Softbook Certify and Softbook Verify, beside Softbook Cloud, the school platform described here.
Who it suits and who it does not
Softbook suits an online school or a coach who wants one login for courses, selling, marketing and student management. It also fits a company that trains employees or customers, since the business page lists progress analytics, groups, certificates and reliability as the needs it answers. The local payment providers and the language range make it a natural fit for sellers in Ukraine and Poland, and for teams that want support in a language other than English.
The caveats follow from the all-in-one design. You use Softbook's own page builder, email and CRM instead of picking a best-in-class tool for each, so a team that already runs a CRM it likes has a migration to weigh. The listed payment providers are regional, and outside the Ukraine and Poland lists the pages name only Stripe and PayPal. The pages do not mention code export, self-hosting, or compliance certifications, so teams with those requirements need to ask first.
