What the product is
Esmerise is an online course platform from Parma, Italy, and its page title reads "Create and sell extraordinary online courses." It is a course platform with a community and a website builder attached, aimed at creators, coaches and educators who want to sell courses and memberships and keep students engaged. The company describes itself as "the next-gen platform to sell courses and memberships: mobile-first, community built into the learning flow, and native gamification." It says it brings every feature into one space it calls the Academy, so a creator does not have to run a course tool, a community tool and a website tool side by side. The interface and the human support are offered in 4 languages: Italian, English, Spanish and French. The history section says Esmerise "was born in Parma" with the promise of making it accessible to everyone to create and share online courses, and the team page introduces Leonardo, who grew up in Parma, studied at the European Institute of Design in Milan and founded the company.
What you build and how
The core build is the course. The home page promises "completion rates 3 times higher and 12+ quiz combinations," and the headline pitch is to "3x your students completion rates." Those are the company's own claims. The editing model is described on the company's own blog pages as building and editing content "in-context." The company says it removes the divide between backend and frontend, so a creator sees what students will see in real time while editing instead of switching between an admin view and a preview. For the student, the same pages describe "an integrated learning ecosystem" where courses, community and gamification work together. A customer, Giulia D., adds that you can enable rewards and badges and "the option to receive exercises for correction", so a course can include assignments a teacher reviews.
The community is the second pillar, and it is how Esmerise covers the membership and community category. The home page lists a forum, group chat, comments and notifications "to learn together", and says these are integrated with the courses and available from the mobile app. Gamification sits beside it: an adjustable points system, rewards and leaderboards, which the company says are available "Only on Esmerise." The blog describes "a real internal economy" with points, badges and rewards that recognize consistency and progress. A student sees progress and rank next to other learners, and a creator sets the reward strategy. One network marketer quoted on the home page says the most engaging part is "the ability to create challenges among community members with prizes and rewards."
Selling is built around recurring revenue. The home page lists "Memberships and installments" and describes recurring revenue for "a solid & predictable business." The company says you can create products that combine courses, community and gamification "in one single offer", and that payment management covers "Stripe, PayPal, installments, multi-currency." So a creator can sell a course on installments, sell ongoing access as a membership, or bundle a course with its community. One customer notes that billing management is "super simple and automatic."
The app is a notable part of the offer. On the home page it is described as an included app that puts you on customers' home screens, "downloadable directly from the browser", and as an included white-label app: the academy can be installed as an app, you manage everything from mobile, and students add you to their home screen. The blog calls it "a unified native app for both you and your students" and says you can manage your entire academy from your phone with no limitations. The company states that the app is customizable with your own icon "starting from the mid-tier plan". Angelica A. of Matcha Studio, a yoga and emotional coaching studio quoted on the home page, credits the app with her own brand logo for building a stronger online community and personal brand.
Websites come from a page builder the company calls "The simplest page builder on the market, for a beautiful website in minutes." It is part of the same product, so a creator can keep sales pages and the Academy under one account. The company also claims "many direct native integrations with leading industry tools, eliminating the need for Zapier for common automations", and a customer mentions connecting her email marketing software to support students along their learning path.
The evidence from the pages
The home page offers "Start free trial" with sign-up "In less than a minute", next to an "Or choose a plan" link that leads to the plans. The company's description of its pricing is that "The basic plan already includes unlimited products," while the intermediate tier adds "the fully customizable mobile app with your brand." It says its plans are "designed to include premium features without outrageous add-on fees."
Support is the area the company leans on hardest. The home page promises "a team who will quickly respond to you and help solve any problem you may have, in 4 languages", and a chat widget sits on the page. Documentation and a video guide are linked in the footer. The team page introduces people in customer care, copywriting, marketing, development and design, plus a business partner, Duccio, who came to Esmerise after founding a couple of startups.
Customer voices are plentiful on the home page, all chosen by the company. Francesca V., a speech therapist and psychologist, writes "What won me over me was the simplicity of use, what reassured me was the constant, prompt and punctual assistance of the Staff." Viviana F., a yoga and meditation teacher, praises the dedicated group chat that lets students interact. Iuri R., a music therapist, says that after "4 really tough experiences" with other platforms he was ready to launch "In just one week." Luciano B., a yoga and reiki teacher, writes "I have been using Esmerise for 40 days and I already have the first subscribers." Roy R. says he has been in network marketing "for over 14 years" and leads "a team of more than 2,000 people." The site also shows a "Featured on" strip.
Who it suits and who it does not
Esmerise suits a creator or small academy whose business depends on students finishing and coming back. If you want gamification, a forum and group chat inside the same product that holds the lessons, the feature set lines up well. It also fits someone selling memberships or installment plans who wants an app on customers' home screens, and teachers working in Italian, Spanish or French, since those interface languages and support are on offer. The customer list on the home page leans toward yoga teachers, coaches, therapists and other solo experts, which is a good picture of the intended user.
It suits less well a team that needs a general no-code builder. The product is a course, community, membership and site platform, not a database designer, workflow editor or API platform. The branded app icon starts on the mid-tier plan, so a creator who wants their own icon is not on the entry plan. And the completion-rate claim is the company's own, so test it against your own audience during the trial before you build a business on it.
