What it is

Viso is a no-code computer vision platform for building applications that watch camera feeds and video and report what they see. The company's pages split it into two products. Viso Now is a free builder where you describe what you want in plain language. Viso Suite is the enterprise product for running vision applications across many cameras and sites. The site frames the idea as visual general intelligence, "turn any camera into an analyst to solve problems in the physical world: detecting, inspecting, alerting, understanding."

The pages are written for operations, quality, safety and maintenance teams, and for builders such as engineers, AI teams and integrators. Each audience gets a one-line promise: operations teams "catch delays, bottlenecks, wasted time," quality teams "automate inspection, report issues," safety teams "react to risks before incidents happen," and integrators "win more projects, deliver them faster."

What you build and how

The core pitch is a prompt instead of a training project. The home page says "Describe real-world situation you want AI to solve in plain language. No model training, no annotation needed." Under the heading "Your idea, the vision app builds itself" it says you watch Viso build the app with you in real time, then refine it until you are happy and "connect cameras or upload connectors to start using it immediately." Viso Now makes the same offer in product terms: "Drop any video, describe what to build, and get a working vision application in minutes." The company's tagline for the platform is "If you can describe it, you can build it."

For people who would rather start from an example, there is a template gallery with a "Browse templates" link. The templates named on the home page are Dock Turnaround Intelligence, which assesses truck handling performance at loading bays, and Check-in Queue Orchestrator, which assesses "queue pressure, service capacity, and when intervention is needed." Others are Task-Aware PPE Check, Excavator Near-Miss Monitor, Hot Work Safety Check, Work-at-Height Safety Check, Clinical PPE Protocol Check and GMP Hygiene Check. A "Try a template" strip adds Loading Dock Exclusion Zone, Front Desk Wait Tracking, Restricted Site Vehicle Alert, Robot Cell Intrusion Detection, 5S Shop Floor Audit, Emergency Exit Clearance, and the gallery also holds Abandoned Luggage Response, which detects unattended bags in a check-in area and triggers a security response. Those names lean toward logistics, construction, industrial safety, travel and clinical or manufacturing hygiene settings.

Cameras connect through Viso Gateway, which the navigation describes as a way to securely connect cameras to Viso Now. The company says Viso handles the infrastructure for you, "from compute and visual analysis to governance, authentication and integrations", and Viso Now lists connecting to other systems among its features.

Viso Suite goes further than a single app. The home page calls it "the complete operating system for enterprise vision intelligence" and says it lets you "connect every camera across every site, build governed applications, and operate agentic workflows at scale." Its listed points are 10,000+ cameras across hundreds of sites, a full lifecycle of build, deploy, govern and scale, and edge AI with on-prem or cloud support. The evaluation guide fills in what that lifecycle contains. It has sections on data collection, image annotation environments, model training with deep learning frameworks and models, development by cross-functional teams, deployment and staging, version and source control for collaboration, edge AI connectivity, monitoring and analytics, troubleshooting, security and privacy. One entry asks whether you can build reports and dashboards. In other words, the Suite keeps the traditional vision workflow of annotating and training available, while Viso Now skips it.

The same guide spells out the vision tasks the platform covers. Face recognition compares detected faces with database entries using deep neural networks. Emotion analysis reads emotional states such as happiness, sadness and anger from camera video. Gender analytics and age estimation work on people detected in real-time feeds, and there is a section on movement and motion. The more everyday tasks are on the same list: real-time object detection for predefined or custom classes such as scratch detection in manufacturing, people and animal detection, image segmentation, pose estimation, image classification, object tracking, object and people counting, dwell time tracking, motion heatmaps, fall detection and posture recognition for "sitting", "lying" and "standing". The guide says the Suite's no-code and low-code environment "allows model-driven development with building blocks."

Viso also publishes a blog on subjects such as concept drift and data drift, the way model accuracy decays as the real world changes, and a whitepaper called "The rise of Visual General Intelligence". A banner invites visitors to "Be first to use self-building computer vision" with early access. The resources menu adds documentation described as guides, references and recipes, demos and webinars, a partner community and customer stories.

Plans, claims and customers

Viso Now is labeled "Free" and "No Credit Card". The company describes it as a "Free forever tier" where you can invite your team, with "no labeling, no training, no big team needed." Viso Suite is labeled "For Enterprise", and the call to action is "Get a demo" or "Talk to Enterprise", so the Suite is priced through sales. A Pricing page is linked from the navigation.

On security, the home page lists SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR and CCPA beside Viso Suite, and the Trust and security menu entry lists SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR and the AI Act. These are the company's claims, and the footer links separate Security and Privacy pages. One customer quote on the home page says the Suite helped meet "strict privacy requirements" while integrating existing camera and software systems.

The performance claims are the company's too. It says customers can "understand visual data 10x faster" and cites an "85% reduction in time-to-value of computer vision applications". It states "Trusted by Fortune 500" without naming the companies. One customer story is quoted on the home page, from Renato S., VP Operational Excellence at a global manufacturer: "We replaced four point-solutions with one Viso deployment. By month three, near-miss incidents were down 54%, and our safety team spent zero hours rebuilding models." The stat tiles beside it claim 54% fewer near-miss incidents in 90 days, 24/7 eyes on every camera and 90% less ML engineering effort. The site says it offers 136+ applications across industries, and its customer stories include Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group, which used Viso Suite for real-time PPE and collision monitoring through mobile edge systems.

Who it suits and who it does not

Viso Now suits an operations or safety lead, an innovation team or an integrator who wants to prove an idea quickly with a video and a prompt. The company lists "Prove ideas in hours, show it working" for innovation teams and "Skip datasets or training, test use cases" for AI teams. Viso Suite suits an enterprise with many sites that wants governance and a single platform in place of several point tools, which is the case the customer story makes.

It suits less well a team that wants a general app, form or website builder, since everything here concerns cameras and video. It also assumes you have cameras or footage to point at the problem. Enterprise buyers go through a demo and a sales conversation rather than a self-serve plan. Face recognition, emotion analysis and demographic estimation on the guide's capability list carry privacy obligations that belong to the buyer.
