What Directify is
Directify is an AI-powered directory website builder. You describe your niche in one sentence, and the company says its AI builds the whole directory website in 60 seconds: listings, categories, design and SEO. You then charge for listings, leads and memberships, and the home page says you keep 100% of that revenue. The home page counts 8,400+ builders, creators and marketers among its users and 3,800+ directories launched, and its testimonials come from founders, marketers and small publishers running niche directories as a business. Directify hosts the sites itself, so the work left to the owner is the business side: choosing a niche, picking a monetization model and bringing in listings and visitors.
What you build and how
Directify starts with AI generation. The home page walks through three steps. You describe the idea ("A directory of wedding vendors in Texas with pricing and reviews" is its example), the AI assembles a template, categories, custom fields, sample listings and SEO in about a minute, and you then make it yours by adding real listings, tweaking the design live and connecting your domain. The example output it shows has 6 categories, 14 tags, 8 custom fields and 5 sample listings, so the directory does not start empty and you have something to show early vendors.
The theme editor is a live editor for colors, fonts, the hero, homepage sections and the footer, with every change shown on your real site before you publish. It offers ready-made palettes and font pairings, or you build your own, and you reorder homepage sections like building blocks. No CSS is required, though custom code is available. A non-technical founder can stay in the visual panel, while someone technical can go further with code injection.
Directify comes with 17 templates, each designed around how its niche works: maps for local directories, dates for events, profiles for members and galleries for weddings. The named templates are Marketplace, Local Business, Weddings, Restaurants, SaaS / Tools, Events, Members, Real Estate, Job Board and Essential. You launch from one and customize it to match your brand.
For data, you can bulk import from CSV, keep a two-way sync with Google Sheets, add listings while browsing with a Chrome extension, or use the REST API. Directify handles hosting. You can connect any domain you own on the Starter plan and above, with guided DNS setup and automatic SSL, and the free plan uses a yourname.directify.app subdomain.
Monetization is built in, and the company says it takes 0% of your revenue. You connect your own Stripe, Lemon Squeezy or Creem account and charge the businesses you list. Paid listings can be one-time or recurring plans; submissions publish automatically on payment and unpublish if a subscription lapses. Sponsorships and ads cover hero placements, "first listing" slots and banner campaigns with built-in scheduling and targeting. Members and paywalls let you password-protect the directory or put premium content behind access. Lead collection captures inquiries with custom forms on any listing, which you can export or route elsewhere with webhooks. Claims and upgrades follow what the company calls the classic directory playbook: import real businesses, let owners claim their listing, then upsell featured placement.
On growth, the company lists SEO handled for you, with clean URLs, sitemaps, meta tags, structured data and instant typo-tolerant search. A built-in blog sits beside AI generation of listing descriptions. Analytics cover visitors, top pages, referrers and devices, described as privacy-friendly with no Google Analytics required. A banner says multilingual directories are new, so one directory can run in every language. For developers and power users there is a REST API, webhooks, custom code injection and an MCP server for AI agents, with documentation linked from the menu.
Plans and pricing
Every paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial. The Free plan costs $0 forever and includes 1 directory, up to 10 listings and 5 categories, AI setup, all 17 templates, the theme editor and a Directify subdomain, with no card required. That is enough to test whether a niche draws interest before paying.
Starter costs $12 a month, and the FAQ says paid plans start there, with a custom domain available from Starter upward. Pro costs $39 a month and lists unlimited listings, a custom domain and pages, accepting payments while keeping 100%, analytics and lead collection, and unlimited languages. Growth, marked Most Popular, costs $69 a month and includes 3 directories, everything in Pro, an AI content generator, and webhooks and API access. An Agency plan at $149 a month is also listed, with a link to compare all plans. The footer adds a lifetime deal page.
What users and the company say
The home page carries a wall of testimonials from directory owners. MSI Sakib, founder of Core Web Deals, a software deals directory, says it reached "almost 400 listings and 100+ users who saved money" and that he made affiliate commission from a few products. Nick Brown, founder of One Love Pages, says he has used it to build several directory brands and has watched ideas from users, his own among them, "be implemented within a week", and that "Questions are often answered within hours." Hugo Rosa of YogaLife.World says he launched in under a month and reached 120,000+ page views four months later. James Robbins of Fathom Data Labs says his employer branding directory lists 575 providers and credits categories, tags, custom fields, the theme editor and code injection. These are customer statements on the company's own site.
Support runs through a chat widget that says it typically replies in under an hour, a Discord community, documentation and a YouTube channel. The footer also links a changelog, a status page, a data processing page, case studies and free tools such as a directory name generator and an OG image generator, plus an affiliate program paying 25% recurring. A banner announces Directify 2.0 with a new design, the live theme editor, a Monetize hub and 17 templates.
Who it suits and who it does not
Directify suits a solo founder building a first directory, or a small business running several niche directories without hiring developers. The AI setup gets a site live quickly with sample structure in place, the templates and theme editor remove the need for design or code skills, and the 0% revenue take with your own Stripe, Lemon Squeezy or Creem account keeps the economics simple. Several testimonials come from people who moved over after trying WordPress plugins or an outside developer.
Agencies and multi-niche operators have the Growth plan with 3 directories and the Agency plan at $149 a month. Someone who wants to keep everything on the free plan should note its 10-listing cap: a directory meant for real traffic will move to a paid plan soon after launch. Directify is a hosted builder focused on directories, so a team that wants a general marketplace with complex vendor workflows, or a full app with custom business logic, is buying more structure than it gets here.
