What Taplink is

Taplink is a link-in-bio builder that works as a micro-landing page and small site builder. The company's home page pitches it as "more than just link in bio tool": you create a mobile-friendly website in a few clicks and share it in your bio on Instagram or TikTok. It is aimed at 4 groups the home page names as Services, Creators and Influencers, Goods and Stores, and Everyone, which covers freelancers, artists and hobbyists as well as small shops. The company's site does not say where it is based or when it was founded, so this entry sticks to what the product does and what its own site claims.

What you build and how

The core product is a single mobile page with as many blocks as you need. The home page gives the reason for it: the Instagram bio is limited to 150 characters and social networks allow one link, so Taplink lets you build a micro-landing page that explains you and your product and carries any number of links. It lists "over 30 tools" to build the page: text and an FAQ section that rolls up long copy, links to products, offers, messengers and socials, pictures and videos, extra pages when one is not enough, smart links to messaging apps and social networks, and forms with payments.

You have 3 ways to start. The home page says "Choose one of 300 ready-to-use templates or make a unique design," and describes the design step as 2 clicks. The company's Carrd comparison adds a third route, an AI page generator, where you describe your business, pick a color scheme and get a page, which the article says takes 15 seconds. Its Linktree article describes the generator as a feature Linktree and its alternatives lack. After generation you edit the content in the blocks and publish. The company's own blog says the template library holds "100+ page templates" grouped into categories like music, fashion and health, which does not match the 300 on the home page, so treat the exact count as the company's marketing figure.

The block types matter because they decide what kind of page you can build. The Carrd comparison says Taplink offers every block Carrd has, plus price lists, pricing plans, FAQs, a map with your business address and digital products. A service business can post a price list and a map, and a creator can show videos and music. The home page says you can create an online store in 20 minutes without designers and programmers. Messaging is a strong theme: smart links open messaging apps, SMS or social networks with one tap, so a visitor can start a conversation straight from the page.

Selling and lead handling sit on the BUSINESS plan. It lists digital products, application forms to capture leads, accepting payments, a CRM system, automated emails, leads and payment notifications, a countdown timer and internal pages. The home page says new orders arrive as instant notifications in messengers or email, and leads can be exported to popular CRMs or kept in the built-in one. The Carrd article details the sales tools: a countdown timer to push a purchase before a promotion ends, an opt-in form for emails or phone numbers, and a post-submission email that sends a digital product as soon as the buyer pays or leaves an email for a lead magnet. The article also says Taplink offers "over 60" payment provider options where Carrd supports only Stripe, and that Taplink doesn't charge commissions for digital product sales.

Analytics start with page view statistics on the free plan and add clicks analytics on PRO. The Carrd article says the built-in analytics track page views, clicks on specific buttons and conversion rates, and that you can connect Google Analytics or Hotjar for more detail. PRO also lists social media pixel support and scheduled display of blocks, and the BUSINESS plan lists a custom domain with an SSL certificate for that domain.

The evidence from the pages

Taplink has a real free plan. BASIC is listed as "Free, Permanently free," and includes pre-designed themes, custom design, unlimited links, text blocks, custom blocks, links to messaging apps and social media, maps, page views statistics, shared access and a QR code.

PRO adds professional templates, images, videos and music, price lists, custom HTML, social media pixel support, scheduled display of blocks and clicks analytics. BUSINESS, marked "Most popular," adds internal pages, digital products, application forms, payments, removal of Taplink branding, the CRM system, automated emails, leads and payment notifications, a countdown timer and a custom domain with SSL.

The plan section gives the plan names but no monthly prices for PRO or BUSINESS. The plan section shows billing periods of 3, 6 and 12 months, with 30% off marked on the 6 month option and 50% off on the 12 month option. Check the live pricing page for amounts.

The Carrd article says the company analyzed around 50 websites similar to Carrd before concluding that Taplink is the top alternative. That is a comparison written by the vendor, so read it as positioning, not a neutral test. The blog's Linktree article says Taplink is "not a simple link in bio tool but a landing page builder with advanced customization options." The company's site names no security certifications, no code export and no API, and they cite no customer count.

Who it suits and who it does not

Taplink suits a freelancer, artist, coach or small shop that wants one mobile page that can do more than list links: a price list, a map, a form, an FAQ and a message button. The free plan is real, so you can test the editor before paying, and the 300 templates plus the AI generator get a first draft up quickly. Someone selling digital downloads gets the most from the BUSINESS plan, where the sales tools, CRM and automated emails sit.

The caveats are about gating and depth. The tools that make it a store or a lead funnel, such as digital products, forms, payments, the CRM and a custom domain, sit on the top plan, so the free and PRO tiers work best as a rich profile page. The site publishes no usage limits and no prices for the paid plans, which makes budgeting hard until you open the pricing page. It is also a single-page style of product rather than a full website builder, and nothing on the company's site describes team roles, code export, self-hosting or an API, so a developer wanting an escape hatch or an enterprise team needing governance should look elsewhere.
