What Supaboard is
Supaboard is an AI-native business intelligence platform built for non-technical teams. A company blog post also names data teams and mid-market companies that want consistent metrics, structured reporting and control over business logic. Instead of building dashboards or writing queries first, users ask questions in plain English and receive answers, visualizations and explanations. The homepage tagline is "AI data analyst for the numbers that can't be wrong," aimed at "teams that decide without a data team." The query is visible for verification, and an answer can become a dashboard, a datasite, a scheduled report or an alert.
What you build and how
Supaboard's core workflow starts with a question. Users ask in plain English from the app itself, from Slack, or from Claude or ChatGPT using Supaboard's integrations. The AI agent answers from your live data systems and shows the SQL so every number carries the query that made it, and wrong answers become visible rather than plausible. Tell the agent a correction once and rules, memory and evals keep it, so the same mistake does not come back next week.
Turning an answer into a decision-grade artifact happens in one prompt. You can pin results to dashboards and share them instantly across teams, create realtime dashboards and live datasites that describe what you want to watch with charts picked, wired to live data, and laid out as one board or a whole datasite on a link you can send, embed an iframe into your own product with the viewer controls you choose and whether the page demands a signed token, or schedule a report that runs on your schedule and arrives already written up.
The agent understands your business logic, not just raw data. Context loading lets you teach the agent the rules, definitions, and gotchas per table, so it knows what your team means by "active customer" or other domain-specific metrics. Agent memory retains those instructions and applies them automatically thereafter. Evaluation-based shipping means an agent only deploys when it passes questions you already know the answers to, not before.
Dashboards are realtime: you describe what you want to watch, and the charts are picked, wired to live data and laid out as one board. Insights are written beside every chart, covering which segment moved, by how much, and what it means if the trend holds. A datasite is a whole set of boards on a link you can send, and the homepage describes "a live board for every client, clinic or team, scoped to its own data." Embeds sit in your own product, where you pick which filters the viewer controls and whether the page demands a signed token before it loads.
Workflows and automations handle the Monday report without the manual Monday. Scheduled reports run on your schedule and arrive already written up. Run history logs every execution with timestamps, return values, and failure reasons, so debugging and auditing happen without digging through logs. AI Analyst steps add ask-analysts as workflow steps, and they run fresh, analyzing your data live every time the automation fires.
The platform connects to 700+ data sources. Individual plans reach 20+ SQL-native sources . Business and Enterprise plans reach every available source. Connection credentials are encrypted at rest, scoped per workspace, and never logged or returned to the browser. The query layer is read-only by construction, rejecting DROP, INSERT, UPDATE, and every other write before it reaches your database. Verified variables scope every query to the signed-in user's own data.
The evidence from the pages
Supaboard publishes 3 plan tiers. Individual pricing is 99 dollars per seat per month, or 83 dollars per seat per month billed yearly. Business pricing is 249 dollars per seat per month, or 208 dollars per seat per month billed yearly. The blog describes the model as "flat per seat", with seats only and queries not metered, and says Enterprise is quoted. Individual connects 20+ SQL-native sources; Business and Enterprise reach all 700+ connectors, which the page groups into 3 sets. A 14-day free trial is available with no credit card required, and the homepage promises a first answer in about 5 minutes. The homepage also says Supaboard is "Trusted by 1,000+ businesses".
Compliance and security features include GDPR built to the European Union's data protection rules, including where data is processed. Under SOC2 Type II the page says the controls are "audited by an outside firm, over a period", with the report available under NDA. HIPAA support includes a signed Business Associate Agreement and infrastructure capable of holding protected health information. Read-only by construction means the query layer rejects DROP, INSERT, UPDATE, and every other write before reaching the database. Connection credentials are encrypted at rest, scoped per workspace, and never logged or returned to the browser. Verified variables scope every query to the signed-in user's own data.
The homepage summarizes the product as dashboards built from one prompt in real time, alerts and reports "built in, 1 prompt", 700+ connectors, and governance (RBAC, audit logs, SOC 2) "out of the box".
The company frames the product against dashboards: "A dashboard answers a question somebody planned for. Supaboard is for the other ones." A question that came up on a Tuesday, it says, usually becomes a ticket, a spreadsheet or a guess, and Supaboard is meant to answer it from live data with the query shown. Another line reads: "If a chart or number here is wrong, you can see the query that made it and tell us why. That is the whole product."
Customer quotes sit on the homepage, each attributed by name and title. Karthik (KP) Puvvada, HoC at Netlify, says most data analytics tools are either too complex for everyday users or too basic for meaningful insights, and that Supaboard bridges the gap. JindalX's CEO, Sanjiv Garg, says "What earlier took our team over four hours now takes under three minutes, and we’ve lowered our analytics cost by nearly 90%." Another homepage panel says Jindal Healthcare moved its exploratory analysis to agents and cut total analysis cost by 90%. Kyle C Grant-Talbot, CTO of The Primary, says they have connected everything, "from LinkedIn Ads, local DB, to Asana", and that Supaboard has become their one source of truth. The page also shows "Product Hunt #1 Product of the Week" and a 4.9 rating next to it.
Who it suits and who it does not
Supaboard suits teams that decide without a data team: an operations lead, a revenue team or a founder who has questions about live numbers and no analyst to ask. The company says it fits data teams and mid-market companies that want consistent metrics and control over business logic, since agents load definitions and rules per table and keep corrections in memory. Agencies and service businesses that need a scoped live board for each client or clinic can use datasites and iframe embeds. Regulated buyers will note the GDPR, SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA statements and the read-only query layer, though the SOC 2 report is available under NDA rather than published.
The limits are worth stating plainly. Pricing is per seat. The Individual plan is $99 per seat per month and Business is $249, so a large team of viewers adds up, and Enterprise is quoted rather than listed. The Individual plan reaches 20+ SQL-native sources, so a team that wants the full 700+ sources needs Business or Enterprise. Supaboard is an AI analyst first, so a team that wants to hand-place every chart and control pixel-level layout in a classic dashboard editor is not the audience described. And because answers come from agents, the company itself puts the weight on checks: the query is shown for every number, and an agent ships only after passing the evals you write. A team has to be willing to write those questions and definitions.
