What Plecto is
Plecto is, in its own words, an all-in-one dashboard solution that allows sales and CS teams to monitor their KPI data in real time. It is a dashboard builder with a motivational layer on top: extensive gamification, automated reports and 150+ integrations, which the company describes as making it a single source of data truth and a platform for boosting team motivation, engagement and performance.
The reader it fits is a sales or support manager, or an operations lead running a call center, who wants KPIs visible on office TVs without hiring a BI specialist. The home page promises to "build KPI dashboards in minutes, no BI experts needed."
What you build and how
You build real-time KPI dashboards and reports. The company lays out 3 steps. Centralize: integrate data from your favorite CRM, telephony and helpdesk systems in one place. Visualize: put key KPIs on dashboards or reports where you can see where action is needed. Energize: add motivating KPI visualization, friendly contests and celebratory notifications.
The product areas on the site are Dashboards, Reports, Custom KPIs, Gamification, and Coaching and Training. Dashboards are the core. The site says to visualize your team's KPIs in real time on TV dashboards in the office, so you can identify trends in performance and keep the whole team on track. There is a dedicated page of call center dashboards, and the site also lists Dynamic Dashboards, which it pitches as a timesaver for anyone tired of spending hours on dashboard management.
Custom KPIs are built with formulas. The site says you can create your own custom KPI formulas and use them anywhere in Plecto, and that there is a way to build them whether you are an Excel whiz, want to calculate directly on dashboards, or want to drag and drop visual elements. They can be as simple or as advanced as you need. A customer quote on the comparison page, from a data analyst at Jysk Fynske Medier, says the team made formulas they could not see their teams living without.
Gamification is a separate feature area, not an add-on. The feature list names Contests, Achievements, a Reward Store and Instant Notifications. The site describes fun contests, celebratory notifications and real-world prizes. A notification pops up on office TVs when a rep books a meeting or reaches a revenue milestone. A quote from the global director of inside sales at Secomea says sprint contests run in Plecto create positive motivation for young inside sales professionals.
Reports are automated. The site says you can set a report up once and have it sent automatically whenever you need it, that it can be exported as a PowerPoint presentation ready for board meetings, and that all reports update in real time.
For AI, the home page describes building dashboards with MCP, the Model Context Protocol. With it, your favorite AI agent can manage your Plecto data: build dashboards, create formulas and add widgets in natural language, with no manual syntax. The site points to an MCP guide for setup.
Delivery runs on TVs and phones. TV dashboards show team KPIs on screens around the office, and a mobile app takes target progress and notifications into your pocket. The site pitches the mobile app at managers who move between meetings and locations.
On integrations, the site claims 150+ and frames them around CRM, helpdesk and telephony systems, showing a team how it is doing in one dashboard view. The site's integration summary names no individual connectors, so check the integrations list for your specific tools.
Support and learning resources are part of the product. The site lists a Help Center with step-by-step guides and video tutorials, dashboard examples, templates, and sales and support contact by chat, phone or email. Its comparison page against Klipfolio adds that every customer, regardless of plan tier, gets onboarding, 3 free hours of Expert Service consultation, a free resource library and a dedicated CSM, with no hidden and expensive implementation fees.
What the pages state
Pricing is by tracked user. Per Plecto's comparison page, the company charges by the number of tracked users, not by the number of data sources. The Medium and Large plans both include 10 user licenses in their base prices, and each extra user costs an additional fee. The pages do not publish the dollar amounts. You change licenses under Settings, Billing, Change subscription or upgrade, by entering the number you need.
Viewers are not billed. The FAQ says admins and employees with login access can view dashboards free of charge, provided they are not being tracked in any data source, meaning they should not be sending any data to Plecto. You only buy licenses for the employees you want to track.
The trial is 14 days and the site says no credit card is required, with a Book demo option next to it.
On real-time data, the company's comparison with Klipfolio says Plecto's data updates in real time in all plan tiers, while it says Klipfolio offers real-time data only on its Team+ plan or as a paid add-on. That is Plecto's account of a competitor, and worth checking if the comparison matters to your decision.
Customer evidence on the home page is a pair of quotes. One reports a team going from 150 calls a day per rep to 213 in a day, under a heading about 50% more customers with Plecto. The page does not say which company the 150 and 213 calls belong to beyond the quote itself. The Secomea and Jysk Fynske Medier quotes sit on the comparison page.
The site states no compliance certifications, hosting regions or open-source terms.
Who it suits
Plecto suits a sales team that runs on visible targets. The pitch is that your team will not achieve goals if they cannot see them, and the combination of TV dashboards, contests and instant notifications is the product's center of gravity. Call centers get dedicated dashboards.
It suits support teams that already track KPIs in a CRM, helpdesk or telephony system and want those numbers on one screen. Because only tracked users cost money, a company can show the dashboards to everyone on the floor without buying a seat for each viewer.
It suits non-technical managers. The company says Plecto is designed to be as easy to use as possible and compares it favorably with Klipfolio's analytics, which it calls more complicated for data novices.
Caveats. Plecto's own comparison page says that a marketing agency should choose Klipfolio over Plecto, because Klipfolio offers client reporting while Plecto does not. A team that needs agency-style client portals should read that as a direct limitation. The product also centers on sales and support KPIs with gamification, so a team that wants a general-purpose BI tool, or a culture where contests and celebratory notifications would grate, is not the target reader. And since the dollar amounts of the Medium and Large plans are not on these pages, budget questions go through the pricing page or a demo.
