What BotPenguin is
BotPenguin is a no-code platform for building AI agents, chatbots, and voice agents that automate lead generation, sales, marketing, and customer support. It is a chatbot builder first, aimed at small businesses, support teams, and agencies that want a bot answering customers on messaging apps and the phone without hiring developers. The company's site says it is used by 80,000+ businesses in 193 countries and has 250+ partners, and the page footer carries a copyright line for Relinns Technologies Pvt. Ltd., running from 2018 to 2026. The home page headline sums up the pitch: "You can't be there for your customers 24/7. BotPenguin can."
What you build and how
You build AI agents, chatbots, and voice agents that capture leads, book appointments, and support customers on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, phone calls, and your website. Microsoft Teams and SMS are named as supported channels too. The company describes the core feature set as omnichannel messaging, a unified inbox, live chat, no-code flows, LLM integrations, analytics, and 80+ integrations, all in "One no-code workspace".
The editor. The company's blog describes a drag-and-drop agent builder with pre-built templates and guided flows. Its how-to guide walks through the build. You start by choosing what the agent is for, picking from predefined templates or creating a custom workflow; the guide names customer support, FAQs, lead qualification, and order processing as typical jobs. Next you write the prompts that shape the agent's replies and connect the tools it needs. Then you train it on your business data, which the guide says can come from Notion, Google Drive, web pages, FAQs, and YouTube. Finally you test it and deploy it to websites, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, Slack and other channels.
AI models. The how-to guide says you can connect or upgrade the model behind an agent, naming ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and DeepSeek, and the home page lists ChatGPT among its integrations. The blog adds multilingual support, citing 100+ languages, and says agents can improve their responses by analyzing live interactions.
Voice. Voice agents are the phone side of the same product. The blog describes AI-driven call bots that handle bookings, reminders, customer support, and outbound campaigns through a Twilio integration, run from the same dashboard as the chat agents. A reader who arrives looking for a website chatbot and one who wants a phone agent land on the same platform.
Flows, templates and campaigns. No-code flows give a conversation structure when it needs one, for example an intake that collects booking details step by step. The use cases section lists marketing automation, Facebook and WhatsApp automation, appointment bookings, customer support, and lead generation. The templates library includes Education, Real Estate, Ecommerce, Hotel Booking, and Hospital Appointment templates, and the industries list covers Healthcare, Education, Ecommerce, Real Estate, Travel, SaaS, and Insurance. The blog also describes drip campaigns that automate follow-ups on WhatsApp, Messenger, or SMS.
Running it. Once the bot is live, conversations land in a unified inbox, which the blog calls the Unibox, covering web chat, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, and email. The guide describes a live chat with agent takeover so a person can step in when the AI cannot handle a query. Analytics track conversations, conversions, and agent performance, and a mobile app for iOS and Android lets a small team watch the inbox from a phone.
Integrations. The footer names ChatGPT, Zapier, Zoho CRM, Bitrix24, and HighLevel, with a full integrations page behind them. The blog's feature list adds HubSpot, Salesforce, Shopify, and WooCommerce, and the how-to guide says the 80+ connections include CRMs, email platforms, and ticketing systems.
Agencies. The site runs a partner program and lists white-label options for AI agents, chatbots, voice agents, automations, live chat, WhatsApp, Instagram, and SMS, plus a chatbot reseller route. If you build bots for clients, the same platform doubles as something you resell under your own brand.
The site also offers free tools: a WhatsApp link generator, a WhatsApp QR code generator, an OpenAI API pricing calculator, and a chatbot ROI calculator.
Plans and claims from the pages
The home page offers a "Free Forever Plan" with "No Credit Card Required", and the closing banner reads "starting with a free chatbot. No credit card. No code. Live in minutes." So this is a free plan, not just a trial. The company's blog says the free plan includes unlimited conversations, while a comparison table in the same post lists "Limited conversations" for it, so read the pricing page before relying on either. Paid plans sit on that Pricing page; the blog describes them only as "Affordable upgrade plans".
Other claims, stated as the company's own:
- 80,000+ customers in 193 countries, and 250+ partners.
- 80+ integrations.
- Support: "our team is here 24/7. Real people, fast answers."
- The how-to guide says the platform "uses encryption, access control, and complies with data protection standards", and the footer links Security, DPA, Refund Policy, Terms and Conditions, and Privacy Policy pages.
- A status link in the footer reads "Fully Operational".
- The blog cites a G2 score of 4.8/5.
The blog's BotPenguin section gives 2 use cases. A restaurant that missed late-night calls used the voice agent to take table bookings and send calendar reminders, and the blog says bookings rose by 40%. An online fashion store connected BotPenguin to Shopify and WhatsApp so customers could ask about sizes, track orders, and get product suggestions. These are the company's own examples.
Who it suits and who it does not
BotPenguin fits a small business that wants one bot answering on WhatsApp and Instagram this week. A salon, a clinic, a restaurant, or a shop owner can pick a template, train the agent on their own documents and pages, and go live without touching code, then add a phone agent through Twilio later.
It also fits an ops or support team that wants every channel in one inbox, with a person able to take over and drip campaigns for follow-ups. And it fits an agency: the white-label and reseller programs are built for people packaging bots for clients.
The caveat is scope. BotPenguin is built around conversations, so it is the wrong tool if you need a database-backed app, a website, or a deep back-office workflow; for those jobs you would pair it with another tool through Zapier or one of its integrations. Voice calls also depend on a Twilio account alongside the BotPenguin plan.
