What Home of Calculators is

Home of Calculators is a free calculator site that doubles as a calculator builder. Most visitors use it as a library of "500+ free tools" for math, finance, health, conversion, date and time, statistics, trigonometry, geometry and everyday sums, with no sign-up. The part that matters for this directory is the builder side: a drag-and-drop visual builder and an AI builder let a freelancer, small business or adviser create a custom, branded calculator and drop it onto a website with one iframe. Both builders also cover what a forms list is looking for, since a calculator here is a set of input fields, a formula and a result. The company describes itself as independently funded by its founders and private by default.

What you build and how

There are 3 entry points. You can browse the library of ready-made calculators, build your own with the visual builder, or describe what you want to the AI builder. The home page also offers an AI solver that can "solve a math problem from a photo", which is a student feature and not part of the building workflow.

The visual builder is described as "a drag-and-drop, WordPress-style editor for creating custom calculators, entirely without writing code". You add input fields (Number, Slider, Select and Checkbox), write formulas with a built-in math function reference, pick a theme and add your own logo. The function library covers arithmetic (+, -, *, /, %, ^), sqrt, pow, abs, round, floor, ceil, sin, cos, tan, natural log, and the constants pi and e. You can click any function in the Insertion Panel to add it without typing. The site says formulas are evaluated with BigNumber precision (64-128 digits), "so there are no rounding errors". The builder keeps a 50-step undo and redo history, with Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y or toolbar buttons, and it autosaves a recent draft. To get started quickly you can use 6 ready-made templates: BMI, Tip, Discount, Compound Interest, Circle and a blank canvas.

The AI builder is the quicker route. The page says to "Tell the AI what you need in plain English", with a quote tool, a pricing estimator or an ROI calculator as examples, and that it builds a working, branded calculator you can drop straight onto your own website. Its headline is "Describe it. Embed it." The pages shown do not say what you can edit afterward, so treat the AI result as a first draft and open it in the visual builder to check the formulas.

Branding is handled in the builder's Settings tab. You can pick one of the preset themes, which include Retro, Dark, Modern, Pastel and Cyberpunk, or design your own with custom colors for primary, secondary, background and text. You can upload a logo as PNG, JPG or SVG and set a brand name that shows in the calculator header. By default, embedded widgets are unbranded: the site says there is no "Powered by Home of Calculators" badge on individual calculators. It also says the full footer branding appears if you use the free embed, and that you can remove it by hosting the embed through your own setup, with instructions in the Share dialog.

Publishing goes through that Share dialog. Every calculator you build can be shared by a public URL, which the site suggests for social sharing, or embedded with an iframe snippet. The embed is a single iframe that loads independently of your page. The site says it loads the calculator's JavaScript only when a visitor scrolls to it, so it does not affect your initial page load, and that all calculations run inside the iframe in the visitor's browser with your server not involved.

Storage works differently from most builders. Custom calculators you build are stored locally in your browser's localStorage, so no server account is needed. For backup and portability, each calculator has an Export JSON button that downloads a plain .json file with every field, formula, theme and branding setting. You can re-import it on another device, share it with a teammate or keep versions in Git. The site says "We never lock you in." It says a cloud-sync version history is something it is exploring for the future, so today the JSON file is the way to keep a copy.

What the pages say about cost, privacy and results

On cost, the site is blunt: it is "100% free (no paywalls, no premium tiers, no in-app purchases, no ads)", and every calculator is free, browser-based and works without signup. It publishes no prices because there are none. The site says it is "independently funded by its founders" and deliberately avoids "the surveillance-ad business model that most 'free' calculator sites use". The site says it replies to questions, feedback and partnership ideas within 24-48 hours.

On privacy, the site says the calculators run locally in your browser, so it never sees, stores or transmits the values a visitor enters. The privacy section points EU, EEA, UK and Swiss residents and California residents to the Privacy Policy for details of their rights. The pages shown name no compliance certification such as SOC 2, no hosting region and no open-source license.

The testimonials are the company's own selection. A freelance web designer, Marcus T., says the visual builder let them "drag-and-drop fields, write a formula, and ship a branded widget in under 10 minutes". A user named Priya R. says they embedded loan EMI and affordability calculators on an advisory website and that their "lead conversion went up 38%". A university student calls the library the only tab kept open during finals. The home page says the library grows regularly "based on user feedback". None of these claims come with measurement details.

Who it suits and who it does not

Home of Calculators suits a freelancer or small agency that needs a branded quote, tip, loan or conversion calculator for a client site and does not want to pay a subscription. It also suits a solo founder or adviser who wants a handful of calculators on a page and values that visitors' inputs stay in their own browser. The AI builder gives a non-technical user a first version without touching a formula, and the visual builder gives the formula control that a prompt does not.

It is a calculator tool, not a general form, app or site builder. The embed runs entirely in the visitor's browser, and the pages shown do not describe saving submissions, collecting leads, sending results by email, connecting a CRM or calling an API, so a business that wants to capture and follow up on every quote should look at the other calculator builders in this directory. Because calculators live in your browser's localStorage until exported, the JSON backup habit matters, and there is no team workspace or shared account on the pages shown. There is also no self-hosted edition mentioned beyond hosting the embed to drop footer branding.
